Yes, I remember those shops, under the glass canopy. Was it Blunts Shoe shop ? | |

There was also a sports goods shop along there, I think. We had to go there to buy my hockey stick for school. | |

Don't know the name of the shoe shop, but the sports shop was called Dickens. | |

Those glass canopied shop fronts are much treasured in some towns, I wonder why West Brom didn't treasure theirs? | |

The name of the shoe shop by the Adelphi was Wassalls. Hope it helps!

Wassalls Shoe Shop - I remember that one. I think i'm one of the few West Brom 'Baby boomers' who never went into the Adelphi - sad eh? | |

Paul,
Adelphi burnt down late 1971 if I recall correctly. I remember there was a Police Officer outside the shoe shop for a time to stop people looting the shoes!
