I'd say Cunningham was the most skillful and natually gifted footballer I've seen play for the Albion. His balance and grace was magic.

Regis was fantastic as well, I remember a night game against Everton where he took the ball on his chest back to the goal on the edge of the box and turned and volleyed the ball in the net. Pity they didn't have the camera's at every game in those day's.

Ah yes, 1968 where Astle was winding up their center half and ended up in hospital !

I am sure we played Dunfermline after that in the same competition ?? I am sure my late brother went to both of them, was it the Fairs cup ?

Cup Winners cup or Fairs Cup, not sure which, I was at the Wembley game though, watching Astles goal.

i,ve been in oz for 38 years so those players aren,t known by me,but i think the best albion player i,ve ever seen was probably ronnie allen, the most elegant ray barlow,i guess that dates me,incidentally my first visit to the hawthorns was in 1935,we played southampton, but i dont remember who won
