On the 1951 High st photo, would Thompson & Roses be to the right of The Great Western, where McDonalds is now ?? I was only a kid when my Mom used to go in there and I am sure it was there, but on this photo the name above the door is (what looks like) BRADSTORTE (??) Now, The K & J Photo below that one was doanted by Anne Wilkins who needs some help with a few name on there and also the year ? I have another cracking photo donated by David from Poynton, stockport of people outside sharratts Bike shop c1910. I have sent it to mark Nelson who is related to the sharratts to see if he can put a nome to the faces and I will add it to the site later Paul

I believe your are correct about the location Of Thompson and Rose. I think thgere was a flower shop near there as well. I used to send flowers from there to my mother when i moved to Canada. Roger Capewell

My one memory of T&R is live eels on the counter that fronted the pavement. They kept slithering onto the pavement and one of the assistants was costantly retrieving them a they made a bid for freedom aiming for the gutter!
