Sow & Pigs closing ? NEVER ! I used to go in there years ago, I think it was one of the oldest pubs in West Brom and there was one opposite, not directley, a big fronted building, what was that one called ? The Globe, is that the one in reform St, is that still there ?

Uo to the top of Hill Top, turn left at the lights, opposite the school , my father went to that school, which has now gone, then the Globe was on the left as you turned, my uncle lived 54 Hill top ,i think , it was next to the petrol station, a big old detached house that was still there the last time i visited WB a few years back, and i remember playing outside the sow and pigs with pop and crisps, with my family inside, must have been 1955 ish, great memories, My Father lived Hawks Lane, Mash lane areas,

The "Sow & Pigs" is still open for business, as is "The Talbot" on the opposite side of the road... "The Globe" is indeed in New Street, Hill Top... Essa.

The house next to the garage was where a family called Bullock lived in the 1960's - they had two sons named Ernie and Bill and Bill was in my class at Hill Top school. I am fairly sure there was also a man name Durose who lived in the house and the Bullocks may have worked for him

Hi Nicky, I might know your nan and grandad. What are their names because my mom and dad kept the Hen & Chickens for nearly twenty years
