Re Hargate Lane.

My nan Sarah Woodfield lived at 37 (I think) opposite Ivy House, about three doors up from Coleman's shop(up the steps). Grandad was  Jack, he was a glass blower at Chances. They had 3 children Florrie, Doris(my mum) and John, do you remember them?

I grew up at 84 Hargate Lane, it had been in the Lloyd Family since the 1930's.  It left the family in the mid 2000's.  My dad would have known but sadly he's no longer with us and I can only remember what he told me when I was younger.  I know that it used to be a main road that came off Sandwell Road and that alot of houses where knocked down when they built the Express way.  I think number 37 would have been one of the houses they would have knocked down in the 70's.

My grandparents lived at number 59 Hargate Lane and it was demolished to make way for the site of the Fire Station.
