OLD WEST BROMWICH PHOTOS

On photo's of the clock tower on Carters Green there is a building which looks like a church which is in the middle of Gt Bridge Rd, and Old Meeting Street. As a kid I used to go past it and never knew what it was, and now I am still wondering, Can anyone enlighten me?

It was Carters Green Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. I can never remember it ever being in use. It provided me with one of my earliest child hood memories of West Bromwich because i had seen pictures of London and always thought the Clock Tower was Big Ben and the Chapel behind was the Houses Of Parliment.

It was a warehouse when I was a kid but it went when the roads were developed

Thanks thats put my mind at rest, was always there when I was a kid but as Uncle John says went with the first road "inprovement" I only lived down off Chapel Street, Old meeting St.:)
