Many thanks to Chris Hill or donating some nice photos associated with Crowthers, where his Grandfather was a manager and there is a cracking photo of the Coronation lead soldiers mentioned on the forums Many thanks also to Gary & Julie Hayes (nee Orrock) for donating some nice shots of the billiard hall & Kings cinema and also one of St John Bosco where I was shocked to see myself on !! That woman behind the counter at the snooker hall was a right one, was it Vera or something like that, my god she kept a tight ship there, pity she didn't clean it as well as she shouted, what a dirty hole

Live in Charlemont Crescent so that picture was great to see. I remember the woman at the billiard hall, she seemed a right old battle axe but it's pity there aren't more people like her around today. Bit like the groundsman who would come round and clear us off when we played footbal on Churchfields.

I remember the pork pies for sale at the snooker hall, displayed behind a small glass shelf thing.

Me and my old school friend must have been the only 2 girls allowed in the Old Billard Hall. She was my friends Aunty (can't remenber her name). We used to go in and sit behind the counter with her, if I remenber right the gents/boys had to be a certain age to go in, it was so funny when the lads from schoold used to turn up for a game, they would be frightened incase we told her they were under age. And yes it was always a bit grubby.
